Ines et Yvan

Co-founders of Madeinkamerun

Yvan and his sister Ines are two Cameroonians in love with jewelry and accessories who decided to ally themselves with artisans from their native land to introduce part of their culture to the rest of the world.

Through Madeinkamerun, they want to communicate to Africans the pride of their origins, and, to make people from elsewhere discover the beauty of the African continent and its resources through authentic and sometimes traditional jewelry.

Awalou

Artisan

Awalou is our main craftsman. He is the one who travels most often across the country in search of new materials to use to make more original jewelry for each other.

Awalou is the creator of some of “Nos incontournables”. In particular: the Tiger Eye bracelet, the Ebony bracelet and the Agate bracelet.

Moustapha.png

Moustapha

Artisan

Moustapha is the latest addition to make the difference. Of Senegalese origins, he has been living in the city of Yaounde for almost 30 years. He specializes in precious metals such as gold and silver.

When you want to personalize one of your jewels, Moustapha is the one who engraves and shapes the elements that you will have chosen to make your jewel unique.

Oumar.png

Oumar

Artisan

Oumar is our oldest craftsman and the creator of most of our necklaces. We owe him pieces such as the Oumar ebony chain, the Oumar Wengue necklace, ... Each of his pieces is a work of art in its own right, straight out of his imagination and made by hand. Oumar likes primary materials and enjoys working with wood and natural stones.

He has an interesting and funny way of working as he likes to sit on the ground outside under the sun, right in the middle of the artisan center. He polishes the materials or assembles his creations right there, while singing. A real show for the entire community, the clients and the tourists.
